SLNA wins children’s football event

HÀ NỘI — Sông Lam Nghệ An (SLNA) won the national children’s football tournament, the Fami Kid Cup, after defeating Gia Bảo Hải Dương  三-0 in the final in Đà Nẵng yesterday.

SLNA scored  一 七 goals in the qualifying round and won  三-0 in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

SHB Đà Nẵng and Phú Yên shared third place.

The event’s organising board gave their favourite team award to SHB Đà Nẵng, while SLNA’s players won all the individual awards including top scorer, best player and best goalkeeper.

The event’s qualifying round ran in June in four provinces: Yên Bái, Thanh Hóa, Gia Lai and Bình Phước. After that the  一 六 best teams took part in the finals on August  一0- 一 八.

The event, for children aged  一0- 一 一, is organised by Nhi Đồng (Children) newspaper and the Việt Nam Football Federation. — VNS
